Public Diary: After stuffing myself silly during the holidays and taking a break of almost 2 weeks, I was back on the trail today. But the problem with me is that I tend to put on weight as quickly as I lose it. So even though I haven't measured or weighed myself I could literally FEEL the extra toppings as I jogged.

Public Diary: Had to wear mom's shoes today as I made the discovery that my shoes have lost their cushioning. But mom's shoes are a bit big for me and my feet kept sliding in front. Couldn't run properly and ended up putting more weight on my left leg. Aaargh! Have to buy shoes today or must continue pounding my poor knees and shins in my old shoes.

Public Diary: Bought brand new Nike shoes yesterday and boy what a difference! The sale I went to had a mixture of all shoes piled up and the salesperson didn't know which were ladies shoes nor did he know which were running shoes. Finally after a lot of searching I found one that fit perfectly and had "Nike Athletics" on the sole. I could run better today but still have to improve my timing. Bah, the 2 weeks break really did me in. Didn't know people can get unfit in 2 weeks!

Public Diary: I was too tired to get up yesterday for a jog. I had come back after a weekend trip on Monday and I just hadn't had enough sleep. So went today after a break of 4 days and what should I see - the park has been dug up for drainage work. Aaaargh! I went to the adjoining park but the ground is not good enough and paths not wide. Ran for a few minutes and then couldn't sustain it so walked a bit and finished a very unsatisfactory workout.

Public Diary: My park's entrance was blocked because of some drainage work and I had to go to the park next door. That's a real $^�$%hole of a park with narrow trails and worse, uneven in places. But there was no other go, as I hate going on roads with vehicles belching black soot on my face all the time. I have no access to proper inner roads and my only option is the main road, which is trafficky.

Public Diary: My park has opened! But I couldn't run much as wheezing caught up with me again. I feel its the weather changes. It was hot today, I think winter has ended. The sudden change in weather without transition periods has always affected me.
