Recruit Your Friends And Win An iPod Shuffle!

Between now and the end of the year we are putting on a contest to see who can help bring in the most new members to ActiveLog with the winner receiving a new iPod Shuffle.  Any one is eligible and the contest starts today and ends at the end of the year.  If you are already a member, start inviting your friends!  If you are not a member, join for free and start recruiting your friends as well.  Listed below are a few more details and background on the contest.

Over the past several months we have been releasing several new features.  One of the features that we are most excited about, is our new "Friends" feature.  This feature allows you to create a friendship relationship with other ActiveLog members.  Once this relationship is created, you will be able to see what activites your friends have been recording in their training log, compare your progress on a variety of physical activites, and see what events and challenges they are planning on participating in.  In the coming months, we plan to releasing even more ways for friends to interact with each other in ActiveLog.

Due to our excitement over all our new features and our desire to see members start utilizing the "Friends" functionality, we are going to introduce our first ActiveLog contest.  The purpose of this contest if for members to spread the word about Activelog and to get their friends to join and start using ActiveLog.  So, starting today and ending on January 1st, 2010, we will be tracking who is responsible for bringing in the most new active members.  What we mean by active members is members who use ActiveLog, they can't just join but never use ActiveLog again.  At the end of that time period, which ever user has brought in the most new members will win a brand new iPod Shuffle courtesy of ActiveLog.

Inviting new members is easy, on the "My Dashboard" or "Friends" tabs under the training tools section you will find a "Invite A Friend" link.  Clicking this link will take you to a screen that provides a link that you can email to friends.  This link will take your newly invited friend to the standard "Join" screen, the only difference being that once they join, they will automatically be created as a friend of yours within ActiveLog.
